laptop bags for college girls

First, I scanned the electronics area where they had a lousy selection of laptop bags, let alone a women's laptop bag. Of course, they were all black, ugly and too small. No laptop bags for women. No chic designer laptop bags to fit a 17" notebook. Nothing! Okay, I panicked a little, and then a creative thought popped into my head. Heading over to the pocketbook area I spotted a few possibilities. Picking up the first big designer bag I saw, I pulled out my trusty measuring tape. It would seem luck was on my side. Quickly, I found three candidates that just might do the trick.

One was a really nice duffel, but was too large and had no padding or fitted support for protection. The second was a bit narrow at the opening, just shy of 17", and the third was a weaved tan tote with leather handles that had plenty of room to slide in the oversized device. This just might work, "I thought!" Imagining my travel in a moment of consideration, I made my final decision. Buy options one and three to use together. Since I didn't plan on checking bags at the airport, I figured it would be perfect to use the bigger bag for all my travel gear and the weaved bag to use as a sleeve for my Mac, which could slip right into the duffel after security.

Ladies, creativity is a wonderful trait, but save it for redoing the kitchen or quilting. Sometimes you have to be just plain realistic, if not down right practical. Here I am with a $3000 piece of technology and I am treating it like it is just another thing to pack. Needless to say, my dear new companion survived the trip by nearly a thread! After getting home, as I went to take out my trusting laptop from its flimsy shelter, I realized the entire bottom of the bag was unraveling. How lucky was I to catch it in time. One thread more and my precious sidekick would have been a goner!
