These laptops are thing and light and are less portable and offer better support for research and writing in online papers. As they are powered by dual CPU's and include optical drives, they are very much preferable as student beneficial laptops. Note- a student must look out for a laptop configuration of at least 1GB Ram, 160GB hard disk and a 13 inch display with a high multitasking processor.
